Meet Kylie Simnioniw
I’m Kylie Simnioniw, the host of The Simple Lives We Live, a podcast that preserves the life stories of everyday people from North Dakota and across the Midwest.
I grew up on a North Dakota farm with four older brothers. Both sets of grandparents were close by, along with a big extended family full of cousins and traditions. I’ve always loved history, the kind that’s lived around kitchen tables and inside old barns, and passed down by the people we love. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized just how rare that kind of upbringing is.
How the podcast started
In 2025 I felt God putting it on my heart to start recording these stories before they’re lost. I began with my own family, interviewing my brother, my mom and my dad. Since then, The Simple Lives We Live has grown to more than 35 episodes. Guests share stories of love and loss, grit and grace, faith, family, and the simple days we didn’t know we’d one day miss.
The show has a 4.7-star rating on Apple Podcasts, and in April 2026 KFYR TV featured the podcast in a story about how it’s changed my perspective on life.
Legacy interviews
I also record private legacy interviews, so families can keep a parent’s or grandparent’s story in their own voice for generations to come. If there’s someone whose story you want to save, I’d love to hear from you.
Life in Dickinson
Today I live in Dickinson, North Dakota, where I balance running Simnioniw Family Chiropractic, editing interviews and keeping up with a busy family.
